Patient Letter (COVID-19)

Dear Valued Patient,

We hope this letter finds you and your family in good health.  Our community has been through a lot over the last few months, and all of us are looking forward to resuming our normal life and routines.  While many things have changed, one thing remains the same:  our commitment to your health and safety.

At this time, we will be calling patients as they can be seen for cleanings, all other restorative appointments with the doctors can currently be scheduled.

Infection control has always been our top priority and we want your visit to our office to be as safe and comfortable as possible.  We would like to share with you the infection control procedures we follow in our practice to keep patients and staff safe.

Our office follows infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and the Pennsylvania Department of Health.  We follow the activities of these agencies so that we are up-to-date on any new rulings or guidance that may be issued.

Therefore, you may notice the following changes when it is time for your next appointment:

*Our office will communicate with you beforehand to ask some screening questions regarding your recent health and social distancing history.

*We will kindly ask that you do not arrive early to your appointment and that patient companions remain in the car if possible.

*We will require that our patients/family members wear masks while in waiting rooms and hallways.

*All who enter the building will have temperatures checked upon entering.

*We have hand sanitizer throughout the office and ask that you use it when you enter the office.

*When seated for your appointment you will be asked to rinse with a peroxide pre-rinse.

*The reception area, front desk, doorknobs and rest rooms will be disinfected, sprayed and wiped multiple times a day to prevent contamination.  Each treatment room is heavily disinfected and all instruments are sterilized as usual.

*We have removed commonly touched items like brochures, magazines, toys and coffee/tea supplies.

*At both office locations we have invested in an InDuct Air Purifier installed in our HVAC system and also table top medical grade air purifiers which are placed throughout the office – both systems will help to remove and filter aerosolized particles.

*Our doctors and clinical staff will be wearing full PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) while working with patients and in sterilization area while our front desk staff will be wearing masks behind a protective Plexiglas barrier.  In order to offset some of the additional costs of this protective equipment there will be a $10.00 appointment charge.

*Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients.  We will be seeing patients at both our Silverdale and Dublin locations to maximize distancing guidelines.
